In this article, I'm going to talk about the exact foods to stay away from to improve your sexual drive and libido. While we have some groups of foods that are beneficial to our sex life, we also have foods that bring about the reverse effect.

Low sex drive can be harmful in relationships as sex is very important in successful relationships. It might be what is needed to settle quarrels and start over again. Your partner needs it and it is important you are there and ready almost all of the time.

The foods we eat can have effects on hormones like testosterone and estrogen which in turn affect our sex life. These 2 hormones are found in both women and men and they are important in giving the sex drive needed to have a healthy sexual relationship.

These two hormones are always on the decline as one gets older. However, the foods we eat can accelerate this process where we get to have a low amount of these hormones in our body. Your choice can of food affect the level of these hormones in the body which in turn affects our libido. ALCOHOL: Alcohol, when taken to some limit, can really turn on the mood but taking regularly and a lot of it will have an adverse effect on your sex drive. It can cause erectile dysfunction in men while women may not be turned on when touched.

SOY: Soy contains a chemical called phytoestrogen. Phytoestrogen can affect the hormone balance in the body causing low libido as a result. Since soy is found in some foods we take daily, we may do well to identify some of those foods that contain soy. Some of these foods are snacks and milk and reducing the intake of some of these foods can help in rediscovering your sex drive.

SODA: Drinking soda frequently can really damage your sex life. Soda contains artificial sweeteners and a well-known one is aspartame. Aspartame affects the hormone called serotonin which is responsible for giving us a sense of well-being. Several studies have shown that low serotonin level in the body reduces libido in both men and women.

CHEESE: Cheese are made from cow milk and some synthetic hormones are being added to it. These hormones can affect how the body produces hormones like testosterone and estrogen in the body.

SUGAR: High amount of sugar in our blood can lead to numerous health issues. It can increase the level of insulin in our body which in turn can cause the level of testosterone to drop.
Sugar is consumed daily from the foods we eat like beverages, chocolate etc. Reducing the intake of these foods can really do good for our sex life.

MARIJUANA: The drug has been a banned substance for so many years until recently where it was made legal for anyone to buy and sell. Among a long list of bad effects it has on the body it also reduces sex drive. This has been confirmed by researchers.

A little change in diet might be just what you need to get you rolling again. If you are already suffering from low libido, you might want to visit your doctor. Don't look at this lightly as it can not only ruin your relationship but your health.
