Top Exfoliating Ingredients for your skin

Has your skin gotten to the stage where you're trying out various creams and nothing seems to work again? Then its time for you to calm down and change your strategy. Your next move is to try some exfoliating ingredients to bring back that glow to your skin. As someone who battles with an oily face now and then, I will be recommending some ingredients to try out.

It is important to have a glowing skin. Sometimes, our busy schedules, stress, and some medical conditions can affect how we look.  And if we don't have a proper skin regimen in place, it will eventually tell on the skin. It is therefore vital to give adequate attention to our skin when we can. If you're not heading to the SPA, you might want to experiment with readily available organic and natural ingredients that will serve as an exfoliating agent. Exfoliating twice or thrice a week is cool. It helps your skin glow. People often wonder which products or ingredients are best for exfoliating. Well, if you are one of those, wonder no more because we will be looking at the best ingredients to use for exfoliating the skin.

In this post, I will be showing you some of the best ingredients you can use to exfoliate the skin. These ingredients will keep your skin hydrated, remove acne and dead skin cells. You can make use of the following:

WHITE OR BROWN SUGAR

A natural humectant is sugar. It draws moisture to the skin. Exfoliating with products that contain sugar helps to hydrate the skin. Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, this is an alpha-hydroxy acid used in the treatment of aging skin. Sugar is best for exfoliating sensitive skins.

SALT

Salt is another great ingredient for exfoliation. Use the best salt on your skin. A natural antiseptic is salt. It kills bacteria and reduces inflammation. Apply it on your body (not your face) in a circular motion to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells.

OATS

Oats are less abrasive on the skin than salt and sugar. They are perfect exfoliating ingredients for the skin. Oat is best for sensitive skin. They heal sunburn and reduce inflammation. Grind it thoroughly, mix it with water and apply on your skin.

COFFEE GROUNDS

Coffee Grounds contain caffeine which increases blood flow, thereby reducing cellulite, and giving your skin a more even tone. Grind it thoroughly and apply on your body (not on your face).

YOGHURT

Yoghurt contains lactic acid which is excellent for removing dead skin cells, reducing acne and giving the skin a softer texture. Apply natural yoghurt on your face. Allow it to stay for about 10 to 15 minutes. You can repeat the process thrice weekly.

BAKING SODA

Baking Soda is great for exfoliating the skin, you can use it by mixing with either honey, water or coconut oil. Use repeatedly for a noticeable difference and glow on the skin. Take note its not for people with sensitive skin.

RICE

Finely grounded rice can be used for exfoliating the skin. You can mix it with ginger root, coconut oil and sugar to make a great scrub.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

The Apple Cider Vinegar contains lactic and malic acid. These acids are superb for exfoliating the skin. They reduce blemishes and treat acne. Apple Cider Vinegar also contains Alpha-hydroxy acid that enables the skin to rejuvenate faster. The Apple Cider Vinegar when used on the skin has the ability to dissolve excess fatty deposits on the skin's surface and reduce peeling.

For your next exfoliation session, use any of these ingredients or scrubs/masks that contain any of these ingredients. And until then take care of yourself.
